I got this from another website and wanted to share it with all of you. We love hummingbirds at our house. Though we have never tried to make our own food, we do have our hummingbird feeder right in front of out bay window in the front yard. I love them. Last year we had around 4 pair that would come and get food.
Bring 2 cups of water to a full boil. Stir in 1/2 cup of sugar until fully dissolved. Cool completely before placing in hummingbird feeders. Left over hummingbird food can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Make sure to clean feeders and change food frequently.
