He signed a copy of Still Growing for my sister Kim and I. We were really excited!
The point of the show was not to meet Kirk Cameron, (though it was icing on the cake!) The point was to go and get new ideas for Kira's Cottage for new product, new ways to minister to the community through the store, display ideas, and how to serve our customers better. I learned so much.
Disney put on a wonderful seminar on customer service. If you have ever been to Disney World, you know what wonderful service they provide at their resorts, shops, and theme parks. The seminar was so helpful and because of it I got new ideas on better ways to serve our customers. I have some wonderful ideas!
I found some wonderful products for the store for now and later on. We are excited about an upcoming new item for Kira's Cottage. We are getting new Kerusso T-shirts. If you love the Life is God t's, you will love these too! Their t-shirts are a great source of ministry for all ages. They keep up with the latest trends with a focus on witnessing. I can't wait to get the t-shirts in. They will be here in late August. There were so many more items that I fell in love with and am hoping to get in the near future!
We also just signed up with a program to send out catalogs to our customers. We are soooooo excited about offering this to our customers! So, if you aren't on our mailing list, you need to sign up to see the latest offerings at Kira's Cottage!
We are also going to participate in the Operation Christmas Child program in November through Samartian's Purse. We will be heavily promoting this program this fall in the store. If you have not heard about Operation Christmas Child visit http://www.samaritanspurse.org/ and click on Operation Christmas Child. It is a wonderful program and my family and I have put shoeboxes together for our church collection for a few years now. Please check it out!
These are just a few key things I wanted to tell you all about the trip. Now, since it was in Orlando, we did swing over to Disney World a little bit. How could we pass that up?! We had such a wonderful time and I can't wait to hopefully travel to the show in Colorado next year!
