Book Review....

Happily Ever After by Susan May Warren

Book Description: God has answered Mona Reynolds's prayers and given her the opportunity of a lifetime: she is about to open her own bookstore-coffee shop, the Footstep of Heaven. Now Mona has no time for love and no hope that a man can ever be the hero of her dreams. But when she hires mysterious drifter Joe Michaels to be her handyman, she discovers that it isn't only in fairy tales that people live "happily ever after."

Kira's Book Review:

I originally was drawn to this book because it was about a woman who is opening a bookstore in a Victorian house in a small town. That is right up my alley! If you have ever seen the movie, You've Got Mail, which happens to be one of my favorite movies of all time, this is that type book.

This romantic story tells of Mona and her trial in opening up her dream bookstore. This was a book I could not put down! I will admit, it is a little mushy and what my book club members call "fluff." But, why not have a little "fluff" in your life! There is enough depressing stuff in the news and in our real lives, it is nice to have a story where things work out in a nice package. You probably can tell what happens. It is named Happily Ever After, so it is pretty self explanatory. But, there is a little meat to the story. All of the characters have a past and a story that needs to be told. Just enough that there is a little drama and a chance to see where the good Lord works in their lives.

I like to imagine that Mona's bookstore is a huge success and that people come for miles to visit it!
