Book Review: Wolf of Tebron

I am reading a wonderful book right now by the author C.S.Lakin. If you
fantasy, then I highly recommend The Wolf of Tebron!

I will admit, I am not quite finished with the book, however I have read ahead and pretty much know the ending. I cannot wait to finish it tonight!

Book Description: A young blacksmith must undertake a perilous journey to the four ends of the world to rescue his wife, who is held captive by the Moon. Along the way, he befriends a powerful wolf who encourages, protects, and ultimately sacrifices his life to save his human friend. A stirring allegory of Gods love in classic fairy tale tradition.

This description doesn't describe how wonderful the book truly is! There is alot of symbolism in the story, so if you don't enjoy symbolism, this book isn't for you. However, the symbolism is so important for the story.

The main character, Joran is filled with anger. I cannot give away why he is so angry, but it isn't important really. The point is that the anger is ovetaking his entire being and unless he lets it go, he will not be able to accomplish his task and save his beloved wife Charrisa. In his journey he travels far and wide to find the answers to his questions when the answers all along were right in front of him!

Isn't that true in our lives? Think of how many times you have focused on something that really want' important when you should have turned to the Lord to solve the issue. I admit, I do it too often and I think many of us do. We MUST give EVERYTHING to the Lord!

Ruyah the wolf truly gives his entire devotion to Joran on his perilous journey across time. Ruyah's wise sayings are so deep and meaningful that there is no way a person can read this book without taking something so much bigger from it. Verses from the bible (indirectly) and from C.S. Lewis show the time and care put into writing this book.

I will be ordering many copies of this book for our shelves and they will come in the next week...I pray you will make a choice to read this wonderfully visual book that will leave you understanding God's true love for YOU!
