Kendra is an english woman who comes from a wealthy background. When tragedy strikes, she must leave her beloved country to find a new life in America. Bad things keep following her wherever she goes, but she always keeps her strong faith in the Lord.

Dorian is an independent sea captain with freedom to do what he pleases. He has been burned by women before and vows to not be burned again. He grew up going to church, but the "busy"ness of life has led Dorian away from his faith.

Doesn't that happen to us often? We get carried away with the chores and burdens of our daily life and take our precious Lord for granted. Sure, we turn to Him when there is something wrong, but we need to turn to Him for EVERYTHING.

Kendra shows Dorian what faith is. Though she has been through hardships, she always turns to the Lord for guidance, comfort, and praise! When Dorian decides to let his guard down...he too learns what faith means: Trust, Forgiveness, and Love brings Dorian back to his relationship with the Lord and shows him new possibilities with Kendra.

I am a hopeless romantic...so I loved this story! And hey...throwing in some pirates, ocean, and scandal helps a bit too! I read it in just a couple of nights, which is really good for me (that means I couldn't put it down!) I highly suggest this fabulous book by Jamie Carie.
